Train number format:

 

First Position indicates class of train

·         0 = First (Through Passenger) (Number normally omitted)

·         1 = Second (Mixed Freights, Local Commuter)

·         2 = Third (Local Freight)

·         3 = Extra (Drag Freight)

·         4 = Special (ex. Work trains, circus trains, and other specials)

 

Second position indicates direction:

·         1 = East

·         2 = West

 

Third position indicates number of trains by class running that day.

 

Examples:

·         Train 11 would be the first eastbound first class passenger

·         Train 223 would be the third westbound third class local freight

·         Train 318 would be the eighth eastbound extra drag freight

 

Train Speed:

 

Average train speeds over division (EL - WL) assuming 48-mile long division:

·         Passenger - 60mph

·         Mixed - 50mph

·         Local - 40mph

·         Drag - 30mph

 

Average speed assumes no stops, for example (Adding time for locomotive changes, switching and stations stops will easily add hours to these times):

·         Passenger would take 48 minutes to travel over division.

·         Mixed would take 58 minutes.

·         Drag would take 1 hour 36 minutes.

2.               Depart CLARENDON GAP and run to BRIDGEPORT stopping on WB passing siding for 10 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers.

3.               Depart BRIDGEPORT and run to GEORGETOWN stopping on WB passing siding for 20 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers.

4.               Depart GEORGETOWN and run to SUMMIT stopping on inside siding for 5 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers.

5.               Depart SUMMIT and run to WILLIMASPORT stopping on WB siding for 10 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers.

6.               Depart WILLIAMSPORT and run to CHICAGO (WEST LOOP) terminating on track 1.

3.               Working with GEORGETOWN yardmaster swap road locomotives with any available set in engine terminal.

4.               Depart GEORGETOWN on right main and run to CHICAGO (WEST LOOP) terminating on track 3.

TRAIN 311 - LOADED COAL DRAG

 

1.               Depart CHICAGO (WEST LOOP) from track 6 and run to WILLIAMSPORT stopping on mainline.

3.               Depart WILLIAMSPORT and run to SUMMIT stopping on inside siding.

4.               Working with SUMMIT tower operator, remove helpers from rear of train.

5.               Depart SUMMIT and run to GEORGETOWN stopping in any available ARV/DEP track.

6.               Working with GEORGETOWN yardmaster swap road locomotives with any available set in engine terminal.

7.               Depart GEORGETOWN and run to BALTIMORE (EAST LOOP) terminating on track 4.

TRAIN 221/211 - LOCAL FREIGHT

 

1.               Depart GEORGETOWN from AD1 and run to WILLIAMSPORT stopping on WB passing siding.

3.               Move caboose to other end of train in preparation for run to BRIDGEPORT.

4.               Pickup assorted car set S2 and add to train directly in front of caboose.

5.               Depart WILLIAMSPORT and run to BRIDGEPORT stopping on EB passing siding.

6.               Drop-off first 2 cars at BRIDGEPORT industries.

7.               Pickup assorted car set S3 and add to train directly in front of caboose.

8.               Depart BRIDGEPORT and run to GARFIELD COURTHOUSE stopping on EB passing siding.

9.               Drop-off first 2 cars at GARFIELD COURTHOUSE industries.

10.           Pickup assorted car set S4 and add to train directly in front of caboose.

11.           Depart GARFIELD COURTHOUSE and run to CLARENDON GAP stopping in CLARENDON GAP yard.

12.           Drop-off first 2 cars into CLARENDON GAP yard.

13.           Pickup assorted car set S5 and add anywhere in train.

1.               Depart GEORGETOWN from AD2 and run to CLARENDON GAP stopping on mainline.

2.               Back down Gaskill Mine lead to Gaskill mine.

3.               Swap 12 empty hoppers for 12 loaded hoppers (set H1).

4.               Pull down Gaskill Mine lead to CLARENDON GAP stopping on mainline.

5.               Move caboose to other end of train in preparation for run to BRIDGEPORT.

6.               Depart for CLARENDON GAP and run to BRIDGEPORT stopping on mainline.

7.               Swap loaded hoppers (set H1) for empty hoppers (set H2) sitting on Coke Oven track.

8.               Depart BRIDGEPORT and run to GEORGETOWN stopping on any available ARV/DEP track.

9.               Working with GEORGETOWN yardmaster, move locomotives to engine terminal and caboose to caboose track.

GEORGETOWN YARDMASTER/TOWER OPERATOR

 

Train 21 - Route into WB passing siding.  Train will wait for 20 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers and then depart for WILLIAMSPORT.

Train 11 - Route into EB passing siding.  Train will wait for 20 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers and then depart for BRIDGEPORT.

Train 321 – Will arrive from BRIDGEPORT on wrong main.  Route into any available ARV/DEP track.  Working with cab operator swap road locomotives with any available set in engine terminal.  Train can depart on right main once swap is completed.

Train 311 - Route into any available ARV/DEP track.  Working with cab operator swap road locomotives with any available set in engine terminal.  Train can depart once swap is completed.

Train 121 - Route into any available ARV/DEP track.  Working with cab operator pull first 6 cars off the train and drop into yard and pickup assorted car set S6 from yard.  Train can depart once all work is completed.

Train 111 - Route into any available ARV/DEP track.  Working with cab operator pull first 6 cars off the train and drop into yard and pickup assorted car set S1 from yard.  Train can depart once all work is completed.

Train 221/211 - Train 221 will depart WB for WILLIAMSPORT from track AD1.  Will pass through EB as Train 211 for CA.  Will arrive back as Train 221.  Route into any available ARV/DEP track.  Train will terminate.  Working with cab operator move road locomotives to engine facilities, caboose to caboose track and cars into yard tracks.

Train 312/322 - Train 312 will depart EB for CLARENDON GAP from track AD2.  Will arrive back as train 322. Route into any available ARV/DEP track.  Train will terminate.  Working with cab operator move road locomotives to engine facilities, caboose to caboose track and cars into yard tracks.

WILLIAMSPORT TOWER OPERATOR

 

Train 21 - Route into WB passing siding.  Train will wait for 10 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers and then depart for CHICAGO (WEST LOOP).  Train will terminate on track 1.

Train 11 - Will originate on track 7 in CHICAGO (WEST LOOP).  Route into EB passing siding.  Train will wait for 10 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers and then depart for SUMMIT.

Train 321 - Train will pass through WILLIAMSPORT with no stops and terminate on track 3 in CHICAGO (WEST LOOP).

Train 311 - Train will originate on track 6 in CHICAGO (WEST LOOP).  Train will stop on mainline.  Working with cab operator, add HELPERS to rear of train.  Train can depart for SUMMIT once helpers have been added.  Receive helper set back from SUMMIT via wrong main and store in yard.  Coordinate move with SUMMIT Tower operator using local throttles.

Train 121 - Train will pass through WILLIAMSPORT with no stops and terminate on track 4 in CHICAGO (WEST LOOP).

Train 111 - Train will originate on track 5 in CHICAGO (WEST LOOP) and pass through WILLIAMSPORT with no stops.

Train 221/211 - Train will arrive from SUMMIT.  Route into WB passing siding.  Working with cab operator, drop-off first 2 cars into WILLIAMSPORT yard, move caboose to other end of train for run to BRIDGEPORT and pick up assorted car set S2.  Train can depart WILLIAMSPORT once work is completed.  NOTE:  Train will need to be crossed over to EB main when leaving WILLIAMSPORT before climbing the hill to SUMMIT.

 


BRIDGEPORT TOWER OPERATOR

 

Train 21 - Route into WB passing siding for 10 minute stop to pickup/drop-off passengers.  Depart for GEORGETOWN when stop is completed.

Train 11 - Route into EB passing siding for 10 minute stop to pickup/drop-off passengers.  Train will depart BRIDGEPORT and run to GARFIELD COURTHOUSE.  Route into EB passing siding for 5 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers.  Trains will depart GARFIELD COURTHOUSE when stop is completed.

Train 321 - Train will pass through GARFIELD COURTHOUSE and BRIDGEPORT on wrong main with no stops.

Train 311 - Train will pass through BRIDGEPORT and GARFIELD COURTHOUSE with no stops.

Train 121 - Train will pass through GARFIELD COURTHOUSE and BRIDGEPORT with no stops.

Train 111 - Train will pass through BRIDGEPORT and GARFIELD COURTHOUSE with no stops.

Train 221/211 - Route train 211 into EB siding at BRIDGEPORT upon arrival.  Working with cab operator drop-off first 2 cars at BRIDGEPORT industries and pickup assorted car set S3 directly and add directly in front of caboose.  Train can depart for GARFIELD COURTHOUSE once work is completed.  Route train 211 into EB siding at GARFIELD COURTHOUSE upon arrival.  Working with cab operator drop-off first 2 cars at GARFIELD COURTHOUSE industries and pickup assorted car set S4 directly in front of caboose.  Train can depart for CLARENDON GAP once work is completed.  Train will return from CLARENDON GAP as train 221 and pass through GARFIELD COURTHOUSE and BRIDGEPORT with no stops.

Train 312/322 - Train 312 will pass through GARFIELD COURTHOUSE and BRIDGEPORT with no stops.  Route train 322 into WB passing siding.  Working with cab operator swap 12 loaded hoppers for empty hoppers (set H2) on Coke Oven track.  Train can depart for GEORGETOWN once swap is completed.

 


CLARENDON GAP TOWER OPERATOR

 

Train 21 - Will originate on track 7 in BALTIMORE (EAST LOOP).  Stop on mainline for 10 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers and then depart for BRIDGEPORT.

Train 11 – Stop on mainline for 10 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers and then depart for BALTIMORE (EAST LOOP).  Will terminate on track 3 in BALTIMORE (EAST LOOP).

Train 321 - Will originate on track 6 in BALTIMORE (EAST LOOP).  Train will enter CLARENDON GAP on right main and need to be crossed over to wrong main before departing.  Trains will pass through CLARENDON GAP with no stops.

Train 311 - Train will pass through CLARENDON GAP with no stops.  Will terminate on track 4 in BALTIMORE (EAST LOOP).

Train 121 - Will originate on track 5 in BALTIMORE (EAST LOOP). Train will pass through CLARENDON GAP with no stops.

Train 111 - Train will pass through CLARENDON GAP with no stops.  Will terminate on track 2 BALTIMORE (EAST LOOP).

Train 211/221 - Route train 211 into yard.  Working with cab operator, drop-off first 2 cars into yard, pickup assorted car set S5 adding anywhere in train, move caboose to other end in preparation for run back to GEORGETOWN.  Depart as train 221 for GEORGETOWN when work is complete.

Train 312/322 - Route train 312 onto EB mainline track in preparation for backing down Gaskill mine lead.  Train will back down the mine lead to swap loads for empties and return to CA.  Upon return working with the cab operator, move caboose to other end of train in preparation for run to BRIDGEPORT.  Depart for BRIDGEPORT when work is complete.

 


SUMMIT TOWER OPERATOR

 

Train 21 – Stop on WB Passing siding for 5 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers.

Train 11 - Stop on WB passing siding for 5 minutes to pickup/drop-off passengers.

Train 321 - Train will pass through SUMMIT with no stops.

Train 311 - Route train into inner siding.  Working with cab operator remove helper set from rear-end of train.  Train can depart for GEORGETOWN once helpers are removed.  Send helpers back to WILLIAMSPORT as soon as conditions permit via wrong main.  Coordinate move with WILLIAMSPORT Tower operator using local throttles.

Train 121 - Train will pass through SUMMIT with no stops.

Train 111 - Train will pass through SUMMIT with no stops.

Train 211/221 - Train will pass through SUMMIT with no stops.
