May 2004 Work Report
Tracklaying has started in Summit, under the expert guidance of Jim Jansen.
The below images show how the trackage is laid:

Jim cuts ties as tracklaying in Summit begins

This tie jig helps to lay turnouts more quickly

Here are Summit's first two turnouts laid in place before glueing

The first few feet of ties in Summit are now laid and glued down. The upper track is a spur,
and the lower track is the branchline through downtown Summit

These turnouts represent the end of about 8' of new ties laid in Summit
That's it for the May 2004 work update. June '04 will feature additional views of our progress
in Summit.
